I rememberwatching the news a few years ago when a volcano was erupting and there was great concern for the inhabitants of a village that lay in the path of the lava.
The reporter said "the villagers are praying to God to save them".
I imagined God looking down on them shaking his head in exasperation, shouting "Help? How about 'don't live on a fucking volcano'?! I gave you a whole planet! You're beyond help! For fuck's sake!"
