lived here for a whileRental is quite cheap outside the city, but the houses are banal. The market collapsed in town centre, which meant landlords let out their flats in town to students, which means that the houses where they used to live - fallowfield and withington are empty. Chorlton is nice, as is Altringham and Sale. I'd move outside to Glossop or even Hebden Bridge and get the train in.
