UmmCement can survive in the mixer lorry for a suprisingly long time with just a very slow roll as Ethel says to stop it settling.
If it starts to get close to setting in the lorry if it has been left too long (traffic jams etc) the driver will normally have access to a bag of chemical trickery which he can dump into the mixer as a last resort to prevent the cement setting and causing 1000's of quids worth of damage to the truck.
