I moved when I was 18
to go to uni in london, 1.5 hours away from my folks. I was ok, didnt get so homesick. But I know a lot of people who did.

Then two years ago I moved to another country and now I live 1000 miles away. It was damn hard leaving my folks at xmas to come home to norway again. I think it's just natural to miss the people you care for.

Don't worry too hard about it, take the time to go visit as much as you can. It'll be ok :)
