@rubberduckI hear you. I did four years of Alfa V6 fun, which was great while it lasted. However 18mpg when driving as the designers intended - ie fwapping it - was eye wateringly expensive.
I've got a 2 litre now, I can get forty five to the gallon out of it on a long run. Eek!
