I'm with Gilgamesh on this one.

... I haven't felt particularly inspired by QOTW of late. The mischievous humour that originally drew me to post seems to have been lost along the way. Some of the posts are cathartic – and are all the better for it, however it’s attracted an element of twattish teenage amateur critics who simply bitch about posts being too long, not funny enough or all lies etc without at least having a crack at posting something themselves.
It just ruins it for everyone.
It’s been a while (with a handful of notable exceptions, all of whom hopefully know who they are) where I’ve read something and thought “fucking hell, I wish I could write like that”. I’m all for raising the standard of writing on here, but at the same time I’m happy to see posts from new people having a go at submitting something. It helps keep the place fresh.
To follow a point made yesterday by chickenlady, JMG can write quite well. He's not on my ignore list because he has a sense of humour and has an obvious writing ability.
I reckon he’d surprise us all. Everyone is bored of his trolling – although I strongly suspect he wants it this way. A sock puppet for someone else perhaps? Who knows.
