Fender makes decent guitars.Actually, any of the bigger names are generally pretty decent these days- they can make a high quality guitar pretty cheaply now with CNC machines to make very precise components with minimal effort. But Fender is one of the better names in guitars anyway.
I have a 1973 Guild and a 1981 Takamine 12 string, myself.
