For lack of other people, I'll add my guitar-bit.

Last weekend I went with Clendrix to Denmark Street, as she wanted to get an electro-acoustic, also with a budget of £300.

Nice if you're used to playing an electric guitar, as it's not as massive as some of the other electro-acoustics out there.
Also, it sounds good plugged in, I know from experience, as the guitarist in my band also has one. Played it a few times, it's nice :)

Your best bet is to get your arse down to the shops and try 'em out though, it's impossible to tell how one'll feel from looking at pictures online. Kinda like kiddie porn.
