bgbAnarchy's all well and good, but often QOTW is like having to listen to an hour of Des O'Connor, just to hear five minutes of the Sex Pistols.
I think it just makes sense to have some guidelines for posting here - like chart cat says, board and links have theirs, and I think it'd help.
