B3tards:
Have taken the day off from office, mainly to drink beer. Life is good!
I am taking my little brother overseas before he goes to tech. college in a few weeks. He has never been outside of US. This must be corrected.
I posted this down-thread in HSH last night, so here goes again:
Requesting: suggestions for London - pubs/galleries/Indian grub. Prefer things not touristy...if your local is good, give a shout.
cheers

There are a few dotted around Covent Garden. I'll scout round a few and report back...
Make sure you do as The Resident Loon did and drink English beer (Real Ale) with amusing names like Bishop's Finger and Badger.
As for galleries you can't go far wrong with the Tate Modern (on the south side of the Thames) and the British Museum full of stuff we plundered during the days of the empire.
The main museums are free.
Hope this helps

there's a pub down there that's awesome. I can never remember it's name! face the tate modern with the river at your back and walk a little way to the right, it'll be right in front of you. Ahah! Founders Arms. It's a nice place, cosy. Awesome view at night of the bridge and St. Paul's. Alternatively there's the Anchor pub if you go to your left instead.
Camden is also an amusing place to go drinking. Be careful though, that's where the celebrities start fires and folks get mugged and kicked about ;)

I went through all the posts of the last year or so and felt that I couldn't stay away. Besides, work is dull without b3ta.
If that was meant to be an insult, it would probably have been better coming from somebody who isn't here 24/7

An insult at all.
More like an observation.
I'm here all the fucking time because my life is so dull. Something like that.

maybe you ought to think about getting yourself a hobby?
I think embroidery would suit you.

Although I'm actually fairly busy in the evenings with band stuff and that.
Maybe scrimshaw would be a good hobby.
Anyway, I'm off to sing my little heart out.

Give us a rendition of 'I am the scat man' while you're there.
