wot I wrote to a long-distance friend earlier.."Was aggreived to hear of John Martyn's death today. Had a weird dream involving his albums a couple of days ago and now I hear he's dead. Emailing you since I remember you enjoy his stuff. Hope I've got the address right - remember seeing you log into hotmail with it.
If you get this in time for midnight then raise a glass to John Martyn, dead at 60, probably from the fucking booze.."
