BGB: it's always better to get something recommended :-Poneinthepink: that's interesting and I'll bear it in mind.
I'm probably going to spend about £25, which rules out Dualit ones.
My parents have this Tefal one. It looks the business, and has all these clever gizmos like a lever to lift your toast out and stuff, but you can't fit a normal piece of bread in there, and it can't toast for shit
