free at last!
climbing carefully out of my crib for the first time at *about* a year and a half old (remember that my thoughts were not really linguistic at the time, but the age is a guess). gripping the rail, pulling myself up, swinging one leg and then the other over the bars, and lowering myself down to a hardwood floor, bursting through my bedroom door and running down the hall, shouting.

don't think I've changed much, though I have learned to speak.
