Being hopelessly lost.A recurring nightmare for a long time was of being in NYC with friends and being on the subway, getting separated and trapped on the train when they got off, and having no fucking idea where I was or where I was headed. I would get off of the train and find myself in an impenetrable maze of buildings and traffic with no clue how to get home.
These days I know I could manage, no matter where I was- I can navigate in the wilderness or in a city easily enough. But now and then that nightmare pops up...
