If the Blackberry is locked to Vodafone,
then no, you can't use another carrier's SIM in it.
But, most Blackberry's are unlocked (at least here in the US)and just require a sim card swapout.
If it is locked to Vodafone, call them with the IMEI number once you get the device and ask for the unlock code. Takes 2-3 weeks to get it but I'll have a look around and see if I can find a way to do it for you.
