username1thank you - I have had real problems this weekend trying to sort out this laptop with a dvd player. I think the technical term is "it is fucked". So I've had to reinstall everything and my dvd player has disappeared. If I ever get hold of a certain Mr Gates I will kick him hard in the nuts.
