Er... The starfish thing... If you break a leg off one, it'll regrow a new leg. The leg you snapped off will die.
If you break off a leg with a chunk of the "body" (the central section), it'll grow into a new starfish, and the original will regrow a leg.
Coolest thing is sponges. If you break one down to individual cells, then pass it through a mono-cellular sieve, then leave the resulting paste in a bucket of seawater with dissolved nutrients, the whole thing will re-organise itself back into a whole sponge.
