lovefilm works quite well.
I had it through Amazon, LoveFilm, and currently with Tesco. They all have LoveFilm SKUs on the discs, so they all came from the same stock.
We signed up over Christmas, when they offered 3 months free. We chose the unlimited rental, and we have been going through about 250 movies since then, and we've made our first payment of £13 just now. So that's good value. Have a look through the intrawebs for promotional codes to use when you sign up.
What I liked about it was that I could watch some shows not otherwise available in the UK. My missus and I watch Trailer Park Boys several times - brilliant Canadian television!
I had one DVD not show up, and I had to fill out a form from Royal Mail. No big deal.
For these reasons I give the service three stars.
