Some important questions regarding Edinburgh
Im going there this weekend for a stag.

1 - How much is a pint?
2 - How much is a kebab?
3 - How much is a packet of cigarettes?

depends where you go.
1- pint ranges from £2.60 - £3.50
2- kebab around a £5er
3- cigarettes around £6

For strippers head to the public triangle.
For Hookers stop a Pedicab and ask them - they'll take you.
Drugs - you'll be lucky but ask around in some clubs and you might find someone.

And in answer to your questions... (I've done a few Edinburgh stag weekends, your best bet - rather than worrying about the price - is to work out 'where on earth in Edinburgh will let in an English stag party' if I were you, I'd get in touch with the clubs you want to visit in advance especially if some idiot you are going away with mentions the words 'fancy dress' - It might be worth offering to leave a good-behaviour bond with the club as well, I went on one weekend (in Newcastle) and the best-man had previously negotiated with some 80's club that, whilst under any circumstances they wouldn't normally accept stag weekends, they were prepared to make an exception. All we did, was bung £20.00 each in an envelope (over and above the cost of getting in) - if all members of the party behaved, all the money came back, if one person gave the staff cause for concern, we lost the money - although the door staff did agree to speak to the best-man first if they thought things were getting out of hand.

That'll be the Stag downing some-sort of 'shot' based drink and being sick - and all of us forfeiting our money. Don't begrudge him a penny of it either!

Food and drink wise in Edinburgh - think 'London prices' although there are still some bargains to be had in the right pubs.

Oh - don't bother going to that castle they have there, it's shit and it was only built in the 1980's, it was built to convince Americans that they too could use a Laker Skytrain and they'd be able to experience 'history'

Fort Boyard is better.

I read it as 'pubic triangle' - and sniggered that you could pay to view minge in a brillllllliantly named place.

As for the cabs - that still sounds a bit Gary Glitter.
