Fry & Laurie by a country mileTheir sketch show was absolutely fucking hilarious throughout and has aged brilliantly - something I was disappointed not to feel about The Young Ones when I gave it another go recently. There's Two Ronnies style word play, physical comedy and some absolutely mental surrealism at times.
Unashamedly middle class comedy from a time when ghastly boors like Ben Elton were the big news, but not remotely pompous or elitist - just very clever and very, very funny.
