Because I love the Clash. Sure he was the son of a diplomat but from what I've read and watched he had a tough upbringing and walked the way he talked once he moved permanantly to London.

The Clash - One of the best Punk Albums of all time (and I've heard a lot of punk).

Give Em Enough Rope - A criminally underlooked album, due to the cleanness of the production - but the songs are incredible. You won't find a better start to any album than the first 2 tracks.

London Calling - A Masterpiece.

Everything after - awful awful albums punctuated with classic songs. But remember this was the 80's and the band had self-imploded.

And remember the Clash were the only decent UK punk band not to re-form for the money.
