Sure I read something the other day about
our government relaxing or changing their rules on traffic lights to sync them up properly so that if you do the speed limit through town, you'll get almost all green lights - apparently the policy up to now was to either not care or deliberately put them out of sync so you are made to stop and burn more petrol every few hundred yards, increasing tax revenue. Never mind all the health problems or future oil shortages.
