How good is that Horrors album?
Talk about wearing your influences on your sleeve but bloody hell: Spacemen 3, The Cure, My Bloody Valentine, Joy Division, Section 25, Can, Psychedelic Furs and The Birthday Party... big stuff. Great stuff.

Apologies for the aural masturbation.

Have you heard the Will Smith album "Lost & Found" ?
Forget it's "That guy from Fresh Prince" (if you don't like him*), and give it a listen, it's propper feel-good music.

* ie, you have no soul and are going to hell.

Ok, Favorite timeless albums....
Meatloaf: Bat Out Of Hell II
Semisonic: Feeling Strangly Fine
Speedway: [whatever their only album]
Starfadu: [that one with the songs 'Let It Out' and 'All My Words']

Hmmm.... I'm struggling to think up others, but I'm sure there is plenty.

I was obsessed with Spacemen 3 when they started out
ie when they were still noisy. Their 'Performance' LP live in Amsterdam is fucking brilliant.

I had the Walking with Jesus 12" with the 13th Floor Elevators' Rollercoaster on the B side, it was about 20 mins long and that side of the record played at 33rpm. Sold it when skint - now worth up to £100. Fucking bollocks.
