I'm scared.
I have two months' pay to coast on, plus whatever the state of Virginia gives me for unemployment benefits. I also have my tax return. I figure that I have enough to coast for maybe three months before I'm in deep shit.

That means that I don't have to be in an office for May or June at least. During the prettiest part of the year I can go hang out at a park, clean up my house, mow the lawn, drink beer at noon, tinker with stained glass, watch the birds, check out the blooming plants in my garden, and generally fuck off as I wish.

There are worse things.
