Because:
they make you smell vile.
they make you look yellow.
they make you unfit.
they make you poor.
they make you much less kissable.

I quit six months ago... I still crave the little bastards... When I smoked I didn't think I smelt that bad. But now, when smokers come near me it makes me want to retch. I can't believe I expected the Fella (non-smoker) to enjoy snogging me. Bleurgh.

And now I've started enjoying the fact that I can keep up with the people I go walking with and don't have to stop halfway up a hill for a fag.

The Fellas mum put it best. She had an epiphany, looked at the fag she was smoking and said "hang on. Doing this... makes me want to do this. It's a no brainer". Stopped there and then and never looked back.
