Saw them live by accident (don't ask) and my ears hurt for a week. Are soundmurderer folk then? Are they shit too?
Just googled soundmurderer. Not really folk then.

... then that is 'them'.
Off the last.fm site:
"Junglist Badbwoy!
Soundmurderer (real name: Todd Osborn) ran the first Drum & Bass record store in the Detroit area, as the ex-owner of the legendary Dubplate Pressure shop. His obsession with drum and bass led to him setting up his own label Rewind (Detroit)."
Don't worry, his lyrics aren't all incomprehensible rantings as pioneered by Dizzee Rascal or 50 Cent ... not even in the same genre. Very good music to listen to if you're angry.

Folk at its best!
The album 'Gnus and Roses' includes such timeless classics as 'My husbands got no porridge','Dachsunds with erections can't climb stairs' and the family favourite 'Down with the sauasage roll!'

The Fairport Convention footage from Glatonbury 1971 is fucking brilliant. It's at about 1:20 into this clip, after the underrated wizard that is Terry Reid:

I bought the richard and linda thompson album Hokey Pokey and thought it was the best thing since the last best thing. Then I bought Futurama (BeBopDeLuxe) and things were never quite the same.
