Based on what's been recommended so far:Tricore might fit the bill. Not signed or anything, though I believe they managed to get their first EP uploaded to iTunes. I only heard of them when I was doing calibration down in Teddington where the bassist works as a lab tech by day. One of those who, although I'm not really into that kind of music, sound like they're good at what they do.
Alternatively, if you want the best in pan-genre omni-rock, I share an office with the drummer from Todger. Upbeat phallo-centric rock which has got to be worth a listen.
