Don't rule it out yetEverybody biologist needs to know his/her Latin if they're to get any taxonomy done.
The sciency bit is useful as well, of course...

that reminds me of when someone asked what the point of Latin was to my teacher(who was 25 at the time)
She exploded and shouted at the girl for a whole lesson, about how useful it is. And when she asked us what we thought it was useful for, "naming parts of the body" came up and she almost collapsed.
Ideal job probably would be writing books on penises, or being secetary to Simon Goldhill.
