But also make sure the super-soaker is loaded with a mixture of warm water and honey. For some reason they hate it. Alternatively throw catnip seeds into your neighbours garden.

They hate water enough
No need to make them sticky for their owners.

It's more subtle than that.
They lick it off while grooming themselves to get rid of the soakingness. So they don't go home sticky in most cases, just grumpy cos they don't like honey.
