If you'd said yes,I think my heart might have skipped a beat as it might mean she was back in the country...shortly after I stopped speaking to her she fucked off to a job in Singapore, and last I heard she'd been around a variety of different finance-type jobs in various different countries. If she comes back this way...well, I won't have a nice word to say to her. But I'd least I'd be able to explain why I believed her to be a dyke. Bet that would make for an interesting rendez-vous.
