It's a shite ideaThey should come to an agreement. Bernie Ecclestone has the power to make everyone see sense. There's no way that there's enough sponsorship for two series in the current economic climate, and only one series would be covered by the big television companies.
And given that Bernie holds the rights to F1, that would be the big one, in terms of major television coverage. The breakaway series would be like A1 GP. May be good racing, but bugger all television viewers ever see it.
