Final Solution.Boil some starfish. Feed cats resultant mush. It is a slow acting nerve poison so they die elsewhere. I am in no way advocating this but it is a known final solution.
Personally I would have a tracking\targetting device linked to servo-assisted watercannon. Filled with weak honey-water. Fun to watch and efficient.
