Flies are too smallFor Ultimate Deathspider 3000 to be interested in. She only likes locusts that are the size of cigarettes. Or on one occasion, a plastic stick that she took a bit of a dislike to.
On an unrelated topic - tarantulas can dig through a 1" polystyrene box, escape and make a nest in a bedside cabinet - who knew?
