"no offence but..."that almost got me a pasting once.
I was drunk, at an after-pub gathering and a friend of a friend was there. I always thought he was a tosser. he said "no offence but...[something offensive]" so I replied "no offence, but I think you are a fucking wanker"
my friend caitlin saved me from getting a thorough beating that night!
