In preparation for a "lads holiday" in the Med......I panicked a week before leaving home and did 300 sit-ups in one night in an effort to get myself a beach body.
This only meant that for the following two days I was barely able to stand, let alone laugh or cough, without putting myself through excruciating abdominal pain.
This was a while back, during the time when Peter Andre was breaking into the UK singles charts with such fine hits as "Mysterious Girl", and his ridiculous orange abs were everywhere in the press.
One of my friends thought it would be funny to cut and paste a picture of my head onto his body, and stuck it up all round college.
As a result, to this day (12 years on), I'm still known to my schoolfriends as 'Pete'.
