I'd say his writing is his strongest attributeTrue Romance is an excellent movie, penned by Tarantino. As is Natural Born Killers.
It's precisely because his dialogue is snappy and his characters are interesting that so many people rave about his writing skills. I would agree that his stories lack believability, but I'd argue that his speciality is comic book-style storylines, not real-world drama.
