Facebook is freaking me out
in its Friend's suggestions. Amongst them, 4 women I contacted via a dating site some long time ago. I never gave FB my address book details, and none of the women are in there anyway.

It's both freaky and slightly wrong. I've Googled about this and there doesn't seem to be a consensus on why this is happening. I imagine it's by these women using the "import my e-mail addresses" feature, not friending me at the time, but FB storing the addresses and deciding for whatever reason at this point in time to suggest them as friends.

Whatever, it's freaky and wrong. Check out (if you use FB) their complete friend's suggestions for you now...be interested if this is happening to everyone

I've been suggested friends to people that seem familiar, but have no idea who they are.

What you're saying makes sense - my address is being searched for by them and it's telling me that they have my address and that we should be friends.

Clever.
