I’ve got a Samsung Pixon. T’was a free upgrade some months back, so should be available on most tariffs now. I’m happy enough with it, saying that, I’m not geeky enough to know the ins and outs of all the alternatives.

I got it based on the following. It was free, it has a 5mp camera (that is actually quite good, albeit in ‘good light’ as the flash is gash) and web access meets my (admittedly, fairly low) expectations. Coupled with a qwerty keyboard it does everything I could want. Going against it, when you lash it in you your pocket – in particular when wearing jeans that aren’t that baggy – it is quite easy to knock the lock key, and with it being touch-screen, it is possible to call people surreptitiously.

To be honest though, from the sound of things, most phones offer much the same functionality, the majority of which will have a novelty value of about 5 minutes (like google maps, which can pin-point my location to within 3 miles, rendering he whole gps thing useless).
