I knew as a child that phrase was a load of bullMy mantra was "you won't be a kid forever, you won't be a kid forever".
Sad to think you have to wish away your life like that, but I knew that when I became a 'grown-up' I'd be free, I'd be able to stand up for myself, and I'd STILL be able to act like a kid if I wanted anyway :-P
