I sometimes teach ratiothey way we teach it is show things like coloured cubes, 3 of them are blue and 2 of them are green. There are 5 parts in total. 3 parts blue, two parts green. Ratio of 3:2.
The solution she was making consists of 3 parts. So 1 part chemical to 2 parts water.
