It dependsI'd be tempted to go for the 2nd depending on:
1) How much travelling
2) How much travel costs are
3) What the wage difference is
Going for the 1st job might seem like the thing to do but there is always the risk that it won't become permanent.

6K PA is a fair differenceWhat does the other job pay? If its affordable I'd still take the permanent over the temporary.
