I love the idea of festivals, but am constantly dry retching at the thought of the huge variety of utter shite that folk lap up at them, particularly Glasto. Add to this the cheek to jowl camping and all the other festival cliches, and i just want to shit myself with despair.

As far as festivals go, i would much prefer the Bloc weekender, Bang Face or even ATP. They seem more focussed on just having a blissed out time to a roster of solid music all within a holiday camp environment. Much more civilised.

Worst offender of all has to be fucking t-in-the-park. the idiots up here go fucking mad for it. every band starts with 'The', there is more mediocrity gathered in one area than is feasible. Take 10,000 neds marinade them in commotion lotion aka buckfast, braise under the summer sky for 24 hours and see what happens.
