But I didn't do very well in my English GCSE because I didn't finish a piece of coursework. I had applied to do English A-level and they wouldn't take me because of my poor English GCSE. I ended up doing Psychology and Sociology and dropped out after a few months. A year later I blagged my way in to uni with no A-levels and got my Degree in Technology so I get my letters and a better paid job but I still don't get to be an Author or writer of any sort. I went to visit my English teacher last year. He showed me a few of the pieces I wrote when I was at school. I asked him why he still had them and he told me he still uses them in class as examples of good work. He also admitted that he refers to me as Phil the Waster as I had ability and chucked it away so I could dick around with my mates.

You don't need any qualifications in English to be an author. Write! Write now!

I'm not very good.
Perhaps paying attention in school would have helped me develop.
