Failing that...
I can also leave the aerial unplugged while it scans, until it passes the frequency I don't want to use.
OR I can take it to the back of the house on the portable, scan it there, then move it to the front of the house (which automatically goes welsh when you scan it there, but will hopefully stay English if I don't re-scan).

It's fine on my proper aerial, and the man will be here next week to fit one of those upstairs. But until them I am a stubborn cow and I wants teh Freeviews in my bedroomz.

Yeah i think I will try that
Because I tried the leaving the aerial out til it got past the frequency thing yesterday and I think it's just too fiddly. It worked a bit but the timing's a bummer.
It will mean it'll be weaker but hopefully it's only for a few days.
Ah, imagine being able to watch Family Guy and Only Fools and Horses in bed.
Not to mention having a BBC2 again!

Can't you use a BT hotspot? Actually don't bother. You pay good money and it crashes.

in a hemergency you can use your phone to get on tinternet but it uses your allowance up
