it occurs to me
that my original post doesn't convey that I made that remark in jest.

my reasoning was this: There is not much more typical behaviour of a woman, particularly one recently married, than to bear a child.

Her being pregnant has no impact on me, or my work, and I'm pleased for her because as clients go she is one of the most pleasant.

I just didn't get how you went from that remark to the "I can't say what I think anymore???1!!"

Everyone has to self censor all the time, it's not a new thing, it's not about political correctness it's about trying to avoid conflict.
