Wear protective gear always
It makes me cringe when I see people riding in T-shirts or without boots or gloves.

I know a guy who lost a foot riding in trainers, the hospital told him that if he was wearing boots he would still have fucked it up but he wouldn't have lost it.

I chipped a bone in my foot
Came off my motocross bike off-roading, I was wearing trainers :/

I think I will heed your warning with this one, seeing as it it the most extreme bike I've owned

When I was on smaller bikes I rode in whatever I was wearing.
I even forgot my helmet once.

But when I got my Thunderace (gone now) I learned the hard way about proper gear.

Still the gixer600 is a lovely bike, take care and ride safe.
