when Mrs V first met my friends it was at a fancy dress party
I had pretty much insisted she dress as Dangermouse.

It went down well.

I was dressed as a vicar.

That's how my friend's mum was dressed
when she met her future son-in-law for the first time.

Dangermouse
is an excellent fancy dress costume. I had an argument with DiT last Halloween as I wanted to go to a party dressed as DM and I wanted him to go as Penfold... he got angry and said he was Dangermouse... as a compromise I went as a bee and he went as a Viking.

I can imagine him getting angry about that

I suppose its understandable
no one really wants to be Penfold... no one really wants to be Robin either... why be the shit sidekick when you can go for glory as the main dooood!

we had a hamster called Penfold, way back in t'80s

But he would be a good Penfold and you would be a good DM
We can't always have our druthers. Put your foot down.
I'll tell him when I see him.
