My bassIt's not a sexy gold Fender, no, just a Precision copy. But my Dad and I built it.
I'd just finished school and I had a summer ahead of me with nothing to do, and my 16th birthday approaching. So I got hold of a kit from some company in Wembley and over the course of a week, we bolted it together and polished it up and it's still the nicest-sounding bass I've ever owned. (Not that I've ever owned a guitar or bass worth more than about £200...)
The neck's bowing, which is causing problems with some of the upper notes. I may have to trust my bass to some stranger in a guitar shop, because I'm too afraid to tweak the truss rod myself for fear of ruining her.
