Honestly, it makes driving a lot easierespecially as the freeways are constantly backed up.
There have been times though when I have wanted to just tear it up, smack the car into 2nd or 3rd and whiz through traffic before hawking it into 5th on a long stretch of road.
And also, being a spacker, automatics are easier for me to drive.........
