Sale of goods actIf it less than 3 years old, it is the responsibility of the retailer you bought it from to ensure it is of a suitable quality for sale (i.e. will last a reasonable time before it breaks).
Take it back to where you bought it with a receipt and you can insist they repair it free of charge.
